Numeracy Methods

In order to help parents with their children’s Numeracy methods and ensure a clear taught progression in school, Bathford Primary has produced this document summarising how addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are taught:
Progression-from-mental-to-written-methods (1)

Here are slides presented to parents giving more information on our Numeracy methods:        Slideshow

Here is a Word Document 100 square that is very useful for children to use.

Are you confused with all the English terms that children are learning in school?  Have a look at  Primary grammar jargon buster for some help.

Bathford Primary teaches sounds through the scheme ‘Letters and Sounds’. The full document can be found here: Letters and Sounds . In Reception class, the children also use Jolly Phonics to learn their basic letter sounds. More information about Jolly Phonics can be found at http://jollylearning.co.uk/.
